Today Marjorie and I left out of Desert Trails in Tucson, and headed northwest to Wickenburg, AZ. It's been an extraordinary 3 months since landing in Tucson. We rekindled our love of Mountain biking on some of the most beautiful desert trails, we met many wonderful new friends who will be with us for years to come, and we sadly lost a dear friend.

Sadly we lost Leonard Pine recently. Pets are so loyal and dependent on us, that when we reach a point that we can not help them, we feel such a sense of loss and failure. He was my little buddy, and I will miss him forever.

So with sadness in our hearts, it is bittersweet to be moving on from our winter haven.

Hidden Hacienda is a very small (12 sites) RV park dedicated to hosting Roping families and their horses. We are definitely fish out of water here, but we love Bullet the goat. He roams the park is search of snacks. Apparently if you are one of the gullible, you will have a very enthusiastic friend for life.

We have arranged to have our rig weighed by the Escapees organization. They will help us identify any weight distribution issues we may have, and help ensure our equipment is safe for the 3000+ mile trip home. We will be here a week before heading east to Santa Fe.

Stay tuned
