Joe: So, we spent last night at the Cracker Barrel in Sturbridge, MA last night. I awoke a little after midnight to beeping. It was the power inverter warning me that the battery was too low to run 120V power. Crap. So, as to not completely drain our batteries, I powered off the camper (including heat). Needless to say, the pets were very friendly last night. Not only that, but I had to run the camper off the truck for about an hour this morning to charge the batteries enough to run the leveling gear. It was nice to have some water as well. I am really looking forward to a shower this evening.

Having cut some of the drive off turned out to be helpful, as the "RV Safe" GPS navigation app we use decided to route us down some pretty hairy secondary roads on our way to tonight's stop. We trimmed a few trees, and pissed off a lot of locals. So, lesson learned. Review the day's route the night before and make adjustments if it looks like you are heading into tricky driving.

It hit me this evening. We are not on a short trip, or taking a vacation. This is the next 6 months of our lives. It is exciting and a little unnerving all at the same time. Hopefully, I can convince Marj to post some of this from her perspective.

We have all had our dinners, and I actually got the Starlink up, so it's feeling pretty normal here tonight. Tomorrow is a 300 mile that will take us to our first work stop in Harrisonburg, VA. I will let you know how we fare.
